Learn how you can get a Parklet!
‘Parklets’ are making more public space in Minneapolis since summer of 2014
2014 Minneapolis streets were part of a pilot program that introduced “Pop Up Parklets”. Parklets are temporary public spaces that dedicate portions of streets right next to the curb as expansions of existing sidewalks for the public to stop, relax and enjoy the city. Each parklet has a host business or organization nearby to manage the daily upkeep. They were a pleasant addition to Minneapolis streetscapes and returned to be enjoyed again in 2015!
